About Me

Maggie Gorraiz, Ph.D.

I provide personalized care for teens and adults facing emotional or behavioral challenges. My approach is transparent, collaborative, direct and grounded in the belief that change is possible even when things feel most overwhelming. I utilize evidence based therapies, DBT, CBT, and ACT. While I work with clients experiencing a range of stressors, I specialize in working with individuals with emotion dysregulation, self-harm, & suicidal ideation.

Before transitioning to private practice and consulting, I spent over a decade at McLean Hospital, Mass General Brigham in the Child and Adolescent Division, where I provided services across the 3East DBT continuum of care for preadolescents, adolescents, young adults, and families struggling with self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance abuse and trauma. I later served as Program Director role in the School Consultation Service expanding our services across Massachusetts K-12 schools, including summer camps and after school community partnerships. Following this, I held a Senior Clinical Consultant, further developing my expertise in youth mental health and systems-level implementation.

Presently, I provide training and consultation to healthcare systems, schools and community organizations on evidence based approaches to youth mental health care.

I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinicians in the state of Massachusetts. Learn more about DBT-Linehan Board of Certification here. Additionally, I am certified in the Unified Protocol and the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
